He has been a teacher and holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English, an M.A. in Education Administration, and an M.S. in Bible. John is a preacher, an author, a speaker, a husband and a father of three. He has spoken at over three hundred fifty different churches, family camps and lectureships. He has been involved in fund raising, the building of new facilities, counseling, and many organizations with diverse membership.

When not traveling, John resides Coweta, Oklahoma, with his wife, Kila. He is an avid sportsman. He still jogs, and plays basketball and tennis regularly. He skis, hunts, fishes, and hikes when he has the opportunity. He was appointed a director in 2008.
